I am a Year 7 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Peta. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'You are my Sunshine', and for telling us 5 ways to be 'Sunsmart' this summer. I really like how you've chosen to display these tips and that you've given credit for each one of these images. Sunscreen is very important and I personally don't use it enough— but our sun is SO strong, especially here in Aotearoa. Staying covered up is important and big brimmed hats are very handy to help protect our face, our necks and our shoulders. When do you practice being 'Sunsmart'?
I look forward to reading more of your posts :) Cheers,
My name is Hinerangi, I go to Pt England School located in East Auckland, Glen Innes. I am currently finished all my work with the SLJ, so now I am commenting. I really love this post you have written about how we could protect ourselves from the sun. Your reasons are fantastic, great points. I surely have to admit that I really enjoyed your reasons of wearing sunscreen and wearing hats. For me I'd rather go under a big tree or find some shade instead of using an umbrella, Don't you think? Overall this was a really great post, hope to see more from you soon and keep up the amazing work Ema.
Kia Ora Ema!
