I am a Year 7 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Peta. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.
Hello Ema, I am Vitaraag and I am participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year. I come from the Ako Hiko cluster! WOW! What an amazing blog post you have put together. I also really love chess and shell shockers. Did you know that amazing chess player have really high IQ scores, such as Gary Kasparov. Chess is a very strategic game. I remember Shell Shockers. At my old school people used to play that game when the teacher wasn't looking. Soon the school banned it. Maybe next time you could add a bit more information about the base of the activity. Overall, this is a phenomenal blog post! Keep up the astonishing work!
This is a great post. It's great to see you've got a good old-fashioned board game in your top 2 favourites. I checked out Shell Shockers and it's looks like a really fun combination of weird and crazy, those are some pretty violent eggs.
I think the board game you described is called checkers where all the pieces look the same, like flat discs, I'd love to check out the video but I can't click on the link because your post is an image or screenshot but good on you and clever for including a video link. You should give chess and checkers a go if you haven't they are both really fun.
