  1. Tēnā koe Ema,

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey 2018-2019 programme— I'm so pleased that you could join us as we delve in to matters of the environment both here in New Zealand, and across the rest of our world, too.

Thanks so much for putting a great amount of effort in to this blog post— I really appreciate the lengthy response you've given. I like how you've given us the location of not only Papakura but also of Auckland— you're right it is located in the North of New Zealand.
Wow, thanks so much for telling us about the etymology of the word Papakura! I like how you said that it originated from Papatūānuku.
I also like how you said that "Auckland is one of the best places to stay in because it is really safe"— Rainbows End and Auckland Zoo are so much fun, aren't they? When was the last time you went to either of these places?

I'm really looking forward to reading more of your awesome blog posts!

    Ngā mihi

  2. Talofa, Ema!
All the details and info that you have put in this blog post pleased me. I really liked that one sentence "Papakura is a word of Maori believed to have originated from Papa meaning earth or flat", that was a really interesting part.

    Yes Auckland is REALLY safe!
Rainbow End and the Zoo is fun aren't they?
What is your favorite part of Auckland?

    Cheers,
    Roseena

    1. Kia Ora, Roseena!

I'm SO happy to see you leaving thoughtful comments on other students blog posts, well done! This is a great way to encourage students to keep participating in these activities, especially when they see an older student from their school participating, too :)

You've earned yourself 2 bonus points for leaving such a thoughtful comment. Don't forget that you can find any school across New Zealand and leave thoughtful comments (there really is no limit to the amount of points that you can earn).

Keep up the great work Roseena and Ema!

      Cheers,

      Jordan
